Lafayette Coney Island, Not American, Has a Rat Problem

They may share a wall, but American Coney Island owner Grace Keros keeps her side spick and span

Detroit — American Coney Island strikes back.

Grace Keros, the brassy proprietor of American Coney Island, summons a press conference to read the media the riot act over misinformation.

Neighboring Lafayette Coney Island, which shares a wall with American, has been shut down for the second time in two years for rat infestation.

American has no such problem, despite social media insinuations.

How?

Simple: Maintenance, mop buckets, exterminators, and trash cans.

Full disclosure: I am the handyman at American.

Watch the entire press conference here, including a guided tour of the bowels of American Coney Island, home of America’s first speakeasy.
