In the aftermath of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, we need to save ourselves and get our minds right in order to save the country. It’s important to choose who we are, who we want to be, and who we want to be with — up to and including our Secret Service detail, should we ever get to that point. The need for social and systemic fixes for the circumstances leading up to this moment has never been more evident.
