Find Out Who’s Fit to Lead Detroit

Michigan Enjoyer and No BS Newshour are hosting a forum with the contenders to succeed Mike Duggan, on May 22

When will Detroit’s financial timebomb explode?

And who will be sitting the the big chair when it does?

Eight people want to be the next mayor of Detroit, and we’ll have them all in the same room.

The No BS Newshour and Michigan Enjoyer are hosting the first Detroit Mayoral Debate this Thursday, May 22, at 6 p.m., at the Northwest Campus of the Wayne County Community College District in Detroit.

You are invited to personally attend or watch the livestream on X @charlieleduff or @mich_enjoyer.

It will not be a debate, actually. There will be no opening statements, no cheesy lecterns, and no questions provided in advance. What we’ll do is sit down, ask hard questions of the candidates, and they’ll answer. Simple.

This “debate” marks the era in Detroit of the new media replacing the old media, because the old media has failed to honestly inform the people.

The old media is content with sitting at the Mackinac Island Policy Conference, sipping cocktails and taking dictation from the mayor and the monied-class who has eaten the city alive.

Our debate is tailored for the people of Detroit.

The looming financial crisis. Crime. Population. Infrastructure and schools.

Be there or tune in.
