Division 8: Harbor Beach 31, Hudson 20
It was all Harbor Beach at the beginning of this game. The Pirates took a 21-0 lead over the Tigers with 10 minutes left. Hudson scored with a few minutes left in the half to make it 21-6, and QB Colt Perry ran the ball 52 yards for a touchdown to make it a one-score game. But from there it was all Harbor Beach, with another touchdown, a field goal, and game-sealing interception, the Pirates went on to win their first state title since 2012.
Player of the Game: 2026 TE/DE Skiler Kruse. Kruse had 60+ receiving yards, one touchdown, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the first half alone. Oh, he also kicked a late field goal to seal the win for the Pirates. The kid really does it all.
Play of the Week
A blocked field goal by Jackson Lumen Christi set them up for the go-ahead touchdown to seal the D6 championship.

Division 4: Dearborn Divine Child 23, Hudsonville Unity Christian 22
Aiden Hutchinson’s Divine Child Falcons got the best of Isaac TeSlaa’s Unity Christian Crusaders in a very tight matchup. Both teams traded punches early on, with Divine Child taking a 15-8 lead into halftime on two touchdowns from Eastern Michigan commit Antonio Solares-Vitti. After DDC took a 23-16 lead early in the fourth quarter, UC took the ball and scored, but the 2-point conversion attempt was intercepted on a fake field goal. UC was given another shot after forcing a Divine Child fumble, but the Falcon defense held on to secure the 1-point victory.
POTG: 2026 RB/S Marcello Vitti. The Iowa Hawkeye commit had the go-ahead touchdown and two-point conversion in the fourth quarter, as well as the interception to keep it a one point lead for the Falcons late in the fourth quarter.

Rayshawn Thomas gets what is rightfully his this insane catch for Dearborn Divine Child.
The play of the game was undoubtedly this catch (which instant replay overturned) that put DC in a great spot!

Division 6: Jackson Lumen Christi 28, Kingsley 14
Herb Brogan’s Titans defended their title by scoring a lot early and keeping the ball on the ground. Lumen Christi scored twice within the first few minutes of the first quarter, including a 60-yard score by Sean Walicki. Kingsley responded before halftime, tying the game up with two long, gritty drives. But it wasn’t enough. A blocked Kingsley field goal attempt gave the Titans the momentum they needed to score two touchdowns for a 28-14 final, giving Brogan his fourth straight state championship.
POTG: 2027 WR/CB Johnny Walters. Game-winning touchdown + game-sealing interception = clutch combo.
Division 2: Orchard Lake St. Mary’s 51, Dexter 14
The Eaglets of OLSM took a 10-0 lead three minutes into the game and never looked back. The first touchdown came on a scoop and score by Daniel Taylor, and the Eaglets added on two more touchdowns, while allowing two Dexter passing touchdowns before the end of the first half.
POTG: 2028 ATH Daniel Taylor. The sophomore was all over the place for the Eaglets today, starting his day with a scoop and score to put the first touchdown on the board for OLSM, and adding a rushing touchdown late in the second quarter to go up 24-7.
