Michigan's Top High School Baseball Teams

These five have the best chance of getting to the state championship

By Alex Deimel · April 26, 2026

Brother Rice: The Warriors have some of the top talent in MHSAA baseball this year, sitting at 8-2 with losses to Hartland and Rochester Adams after just entering Catholic League play. Brother Rice will look for big years out of Cole Duhaime and Broder Katke, both D1 college commits, to try and earn their first state title since 2008.

Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep: A baseball powerhouse of the past decade, this program continuously pumps out D1 athletes, the latest being Hudson Brzustewicz who will join his brother Parker at Notre Dame next year. OLSM is looking to grab their first state championship since 2022 after losing in the state semis last year.

Rochester Adams: Adams just had their second loss of the season on Saturday, but were rolling before that, knocking off local rivals Clarkston and Rochester Hills Stoney Creek, and splitting a double header with Brother Rice earlier on this year. Adams will be searching for their first state championship appearance since 1996.

New Boston Huron: At 15-1, the Chiefs have knocked off some excellent competition in D2 this year, including University Liggett School and Detroit Edison during a 12 game win streak that started the year. NBH will be attempting to reach their first state title game in school history.

Detroit Catholic Central: The Shamrocks are having an incredible year despite a 7-5 record that has included a very tough schedule, but has seen wins Grosse Pointe South, Saline and University of Detroit Jesuit. The Shamrocks will be looking for their first state championship appearance since 2000.
