D1: East Lansing: The Trojans have dominated the state tournament so far. Led by KJ Torbert, who had 30 points in the district final win over Waverly, the Trojans knocked off Kalamazoo Loy Norrix and Kalamazoo Central in the Regional 3 semifinals and finals last week. They will face Ann Arbor Pioneer in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
D2: Ludington: The division favorites have continued to dominate after finishing the regular season 20-2. The Orioles destroyed their district opponents, beating Big Rapids 77-44 and Hart 62-49. Ludington has now won three straight district titles, and continued their hot streak destroying Gladwin in the regional semifinal 82-58, before a tighter win over Kingsford in the Regional 9 final. The Orioles will face Freeland in the quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday.
D3: Arts & Technology Academy of Pontiac: The Lions have demolished the competition this year, defeating Center Line Prep 103-51 for the largest margin of win in any regional matchup this year. A&T defeated Detroit Loyola in the regional semifinal 83-59, and will face Harbor Beach in the state quarterfinals on Tuesday.
D4: Frederick Douglass: The Hurricanes have humiliated their competition in the bracket this year, starting by beating Southfield Manoogian 100-18, and then Warren Math & Science 81-32. Douglass Prep continued their dominance in the Regional 31 games, beating Allen Park Inter-City Baptist 58-50 before destroying Southfield Christian 73-37 in the regional final game. The Hurricanes will take on Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes in the state quarterfinals.
