- Lansing Sexton: After losing their opener to East Lansing, 2026 PG Keyshawn Summerville has led Sexton to six straight wins, knocking off local rivals Lansing Catholic and Olivet before entering conference play. Summerville finished with 30 points in their matchup against Holt, and is averaging 22 points per game this season.
- East Lansing: The Trojans knocked off Brother Rice in dominant fashion in the Motor City Roundball Classic, continuing their 8-0 undefeated start. The question everyone is asking: Who can stop the Trojans?
- Hudsonville: The undefeated team out of the west side defeated Port Huron Northern in the D Zone showcase before Christmas, and will have two tough challenges against University Prep in Detroit and Rockford this month.

- On December 30, Ann Arbor Pioneer edged out Detroit Cass Tech 55-54. This matchup at the Motor City Roundball Classic saw Pioneer squeak out a win against the Technicians to make Pioneer 5-2 on the year.
